GOVERNOR’S MONTHLY LETTER AUGUST 2026 RAC Explorientation Year 9: Opening Doors to a Life of Service By: Ma. Jesusa “Jie” P. Javillo July 4, 2026 — San Jose Covered Court, Barangay San Antonio, Quezon City The Rotary Club of San Francisco del Monte welcomed Rotary Year 2026–2027 with its project under the leadership of The Legacy President Jet Legaspi, in partnership with adopted community Barangay San Antonio, led by Bgy. Capt. Daniel Leon S. Berroya. The day began with a Thanksgiving Mass officiated by Fr. Victor Cunanan Paruñgao, followed by a celebration for 100 Sinag Tala Elementary School children. Then came “Kuya Jet.” President Jet Legaspi introduced himself to the children as Kuya Jet, emphasizing that the celebration was not about food or gifts. What RC SFDM hoped to plant and leave behind were kindness, compassion, goodness, and values in action. With Bgy. Capt. Berroya and his Kagawads, the children enjoyed activities, received gifts, and shared Jollibee Chickenjoy meals generously provided through De Guzman Food Corporation. Bambuhay toothbrushes connected personal health with care for the environment. The project came through the generosity of RC SFDM Family, the Rotary Community Corps led by President Rutchie Valdepeña, and RACMA led by President Bon Drio, together with IPP Lance Sta. Maria and Secretary Cjaye Cajipo. Also present in full support were PDG Penny Policarpio III, PP Joan Policarpio, PN and Club Secretary Jean Alvarez, Club Administrator Rtn. Randy Torrecampo, Assistant Secretary Rtn. Jie Javillo, Rtn. Edna Macaraeg Novencido, and Rtn. Christian Tesalona. The renewed Memorandum of Agreement strengthened the Barangay San Antonio partnership and commitment to continued community service. What remains when the food is gone and the celebration ends is a child who remembers kindness, compassion, and the example of values in action. The story has only just begun. More lives to touch. More partnerships to build. More service for communities. So, stay tuned… the next chapter of our Legacy is waiting to unfold. Rotary Club of San Francisco Del Monte
